Let me ask you three questions...
1) How do you see yourself?
2) How does God see you?
3) How do you think God sees you?
The answers to these questions are not necessarily the same. Our perception of ourselves and God's can be different, and we can believe wrongly about God's take on us- all at the same time! I think most people see themselves as 'problem children'- always in trouble, lagging behind, running away. And I think they believe God sees them this way as well. The key question is #2. What does the Bible say about how God sees us?
"God loved you so much that He gave His only son..." "What love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called the children of God..." "God is no longer counting your sins against you but has reconciled you to Himself through Jesus..." "We are His creative expression (His art!) created in Christ Jesus for good works..." It is very clear in the Bible that God sees you as His art project not His math problem! If you once believed rightly about question #2, it would change everything else. And the more the answer to these three questions is the same, the greater your peace, joy and fulfillment. I hope you will believe what God believes about you and for you!
